2021.09.20 01:17 sticky118 I moved far away from home
I got a job 7 hours away from my home town and I'm struggling to adjust to the change. I'm young and on my own for the first time which is pretty scary. I never had this much responsibility even in college, but now I'm having to truly look after myself alone. I don't have any roommates so I find myself being lonely a lot when I'm not at work. Making friends in a small town is hard too because it's a pretty tight nit community and I don't feel like I fit in being a city boy. Anyways, apologies if this post isn't very interesting. I hope it inspires at least some conversation in the sub.

2021.09.20 01:17 strangledbymyownbra Untreated Lyme for a few months - how concerned should I be?
23F, 115lbs, 5'1, on birth control and loratadine daily. Seasonal, dust mite, and pet allergies, no other serious health issues.
Symptoms: swollen and sore lymph nodes in neck and chest, fatigue, some mild acheyness. Kept feeling like I was going to come down with something, but never really progressed further. I never found a tick or had a bullseye, but I do live in upstate NY, US, which is prime lyme country. Just found out from a Quest blood test I've tested positive for lyme antibodies and was reactive to 5/10 proteins, which I guess is what they use to determine an infection.
I'm going to call my primary doctor first thing in the morning of course to get started on antibiotics, but my questions are how concerned should I be for any long-term damage? I know lyme can really cause people cognitive issues. I have felt foggy and slow lately, which I had chalked up to stress and not sleeing well, but now I'm concerned it's because of the lyme. I've had symptoms for about 2.5 months, but only just got a test because I'd tested positive for strep a couple weeks ago and thought everything was because of that (went through a round of amoxicillin and waited a week or two, and still felt the same.)
Thanks in advance.

2021.09.20 01:17 Harkstreak49 Switching between scenes within a chapter
I'm pretty much a novice writing my very first story. It's in the early stages and it's still in the third chapter. Anyway, after all the action happens, I want to go over to a different setting and I want to know how to effectively transition to that other setting. And I don't want to keep saying "Meanwhile" or "Back at".

2021.09.20 01:17 Tronvillain [WOR] Dave Meltzer on WWE vs AEW UBS Arena ticket sales, and ratings-trends for the coming weeks.
Transcribed from Wrestling Observer Radio and cleaned up because, you know... Meltzer.
It's really interesting. It's 6,200 for AEW and 2,300-2,500 for WWE. They're 10 days apart, and WWE comes first. This is the New York Market, it's a new arena. Quite frankly, you would think WWE would sell out. If ever there was any argument about John Cena at this stage going to house shows and being a draw, this year ended it. Tickets were moving everywhere he was working, and they were doing really well. Now that he's not there, they've gone from 'great' to 'so-so', and in some cases: 'bad'.submitted by Tronvillain to SquaredCircle [link] [comments]
Even Bianca Belair in Knoxville wasn't anything special. They didn't open the upper-deck (although it's a big building), they only opened 55% of the lower deck and didn't even open all of ringside. WWE is now, based on modern standards, struggling to sell tickets. The idea that AEW, in a New York market, is outselling them by close to 3 to 1 and definitely more than double is really something. That's the one Vince needs to worry about. You can always excuse the ratings now because of football, and it's a really viable excuse. This week when AEW won by a very slim margin, but the fact is if there was not that football game, WWE would've won. Of course, WWE also promised you a title change, and this week their hotshot is bringing Roman Reigns over.
This week AEW really has one hell of a TV show, and WWE has to go against football, which isn't a huge game, but it's still Aaron Rodgers with The Packers. I would almost favor AEW right now to win it this week, but it's not a lock. When it comes to selling live tickets right now, I think in this month and for sure September: AEW is going to be way ahead of WWE in ticket sales, and that should NOT be happening. Things have changed very rapidly, and who knows whether it continues like, because we're still in that new period of having Punk, Danielson and Cole who are big needle-movers. WWE really doesn't have that other than Brock and Roman Reigns. They basically have Roman Reigns vs The Demon, then Reigns against Brock and finally Roman against Big E for their next three big PPVs.

2021.09.20 01:17 licowboss Getting vaccinated is not a personal choice, it affects other people...
So, I should begin with me being from one European country that covid is getting to it's peak. I am working in a firm that has around 60 people and around one third is working from the office. We do not have a :vaccinated people only" policy so anyone can come to office. So in the past two weeks around 7 out of 20 people got covid. All the people that got covid were not vaccinated (symptomatically right?i) and all of them had to take time of as they all have some sort of symptoms that prevented them from being able to work. In those two weeks I had to work for 5 people. I literally had to work at least 12 hours a day (8 hours is my usual shift) and someday it goes up to 16h a day because no one else were able to work. Not sure if this is company specific (not being able to reallocate work to other person other then me, since I am the only one able to complete other's tasks) or this is happening in some other places but this is so much frustrating. I could just not care and go home after my shift is over but I cannot do that since I really care for the firm and do not want to let it go down the drain because some people are irresponsible towards the others. Sorry for the bad English, not my first language, I just had to vent my self out since I got the message that two new people (not vaccinated) got covid and my next week is going to be shitstorm.

2021.09.20 01:17 heinaga1989 $BYG 3 mil cap with 100x potential as a p2e game fused with NFT's. Come inside for details!
Black Eye Galaxy $BYG is a space-themed, play to earn metaverse, currently sitting on a 3.5 mil cap, who is about to start releasing different aspects of the game (beginning with planet NFTs tomorrow, Monday, Sep 20, 2021). The game is quite intricate and unique and could be huge in the play-to-earn/crypto/nft niches. Fully diluted circ is 500 mil, but tokens will take a long time to actually be released into circulation.
The game focuses on space exploration, economical management, and building and expanding your space empire (however the game has no war mechanics, it’s focused entirely on optimizing your economical strategy). Every asset (a planet, a spaceship, a building) in game is an NFT, which allows players to trade everything and anything, and truly own their game assets as they are stored on blockchain, not on centralized databases.
BYG uses an incremental development model - which means that instead of one big launch, there are small incremental updates of new well tested and reviewed content. BYG also has a way of acquiring partnerships and has already partnered with 3 big projects (SuperLauncher - IDO platform, Land Share - real estate on blockchain, AutoShart - a DEX and a farm). The partnership method is called a "star alliance" - projects buy 3+ star systems in game, providing liquidity for their upcoming alliance members. The members who gain an NFT card get membership to a specific alliance and earn through the alliances' pool daily.
The BYG ecosystem will be divided in 2 main parts:
1.1. Web Version.
It's a clean, simple and fast web interface that allows the player to experience all the core gameplay mechanics. On september 20th, they’ll be launching the first mechanics to let the players get a feel of the upcoming game; a marketplace allowing players to trade assets (planets, spaceships).
Players can build 2 types of buildings (Factories and Mining Stations) on their owned planets.
The play to earn aspects will come into play as well - players will be able to mine the planet resources, which is sold for BYG ecosystems' native token.
Another way of earning is renting out your owned spaceships for other players, so they can transport their mined resources wherever they might want to.
The exploration initiative is that players who use their spaceships to find new planets, earn a portion of the planet's sale (Find a planet -> It gets put on a marketplace -> Someone buys it -> Player gets a % cut).
These are just the first release mechanics. The roadmap and coming game mechanics are amazing.
1.2. 3D Version.
The main goal of the project is the 3D version. This will be a pc game built using Unreal Engine, allowing players to interact with the metaverse closely.
On Habitable Planets, there will be civilizations with cities that are able to be explored (think Decentraland). Owners of such planets will be able to sell land on their planets to other projects who might want to build their metaverse projects on BYG, or to other players.
The 3D version development will begin as soon as all core functionality of Web Version is delivered. Then the two versions will be worked on in parallel.
Step by Step.
